Begin at the library homepage. Select the Articles & Databases tab and you will see a drop-down menu. This menu will recommend several databases based on the subject area of your research topic. Select SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY. You may want to begin with the database GREENR. Once you've clicked and accessed GREENR, follow the steps below to search for articles on the topic of nitrates in groundwater. 

1. Locate the Academic Journals and News Search field. Type in nitrates AND groundwater. Click search. 

2. You will see a shortened list of results by format. Locate the Academic Journals result list and click the VIEW ALL link in the top right corner of the list. 

3.  Narrow your results by document format. In this case, you will want to select Article from the sidebar.  To view articles, click the linked titles.
