In order to share a link to an NYIT Library subscription resource you will need a permanent link. A permanent link will allow users both on-campus and off-campus to access the resource.
Step 1.
Locate the resource.
Step 2.
On the resource’s web page locate the Permanent Link / Permalink.
Step 3.
If a permanent link is NOT available add the prefix https://nyit.idm.oclc.org/login?url= to the Web browser’s URL.
Example:
Prefix:
https://nyit.idm.oclc.org/login?url=
Web browser's URL:
https://meded-lwwhealthlibrary-com.arktos.nyit.edu/book.aspx?bookid=1988
Shareable URL:
https://nyit.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://meded-lwwhealthlibrary-com.arktos.nyit.edu/book.aspx?bookid=1988
Please ensure that the URL string is 1 hyperlink (not two) or else the link will not work. When combining URLS cut and paste as unformatted text.
Step 4.
*Test* the hyperlink from off-campus to ensure that it works.
