Q. Where can I attend Zoom class and/or study on campus?

There are several different options for quiet study and attending Zoom from campus. Please note these will change as renovations continue and weather permits. 

Check symbols in the Campus Map which identifies open access computers, parklets, and wi-fi (wifi) hotspots.

Long Island Campus:

  • Salten Hall has an upper Lounge with seating, power, and wifi. 
  • Anna Rubin Hall has a lounge with seating, power, wifi, and Study Rooms with seating, power, and wifi.
  • Harry Schure Hall Lounge has seating, power, and wifi.  and the Distance Learning Lounge has seating, power and wifi. 
  • The Student Activities Center (SAC) Orso Café has seating, power, wifi, and a café.
  • Education Hall has a first-floor lounge and the Art & Architecture Library.
  • Outdoor options include academic quad, NYITCOM Quad, and Riland Parklet

Reserve Library Spaces (https://libcal.nyit.edu/allspaces) in the Manhattan Library, Salten Reference Commons (dates become available later in Fall 2021), and the Medical Library. AND

Manhattan Campus:

  • 26 West 61st street Basement: Computer Lounge Lower Level: Lounge
  • 16 West 61st street Ground Floor: Lounge
  • 1855 Broadway
    • 1st Floor: Student Lounge
    • 2nd Floor: Manhattan Library (study carrels)
    • 3rd Floor: Manhattan Library (study carrels, group tables, and group study rooms)
  • 1849 Broadway 1st Floor: Student Lounge

  • Extended Hours Until 11 pm M - F and 8 pm on the weekend.
