Q. What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan is the sharing of materials between libraries, allowing patrons wider access to collections.

Current students, staff, and faculty may request to borrow materials from any of NYIT–New York or NYIT–Long Island campus libraries through Intra-Library Loan.

Use the New York Tech Library Catalog to find the item you want. If the only copy of the item is located at another branch library, then fill out and submit the Intra-Library Loan request form. Your request will be processed in 2 business days. If available, the item will be sent to the requesting branch library, and you will receive an email when it arrives. If the request is not available, we will notify you as soon as possible.

If the item is off-campus, ILL can be used to request it as well.
